Later in the morning, Fox Home Entertainment held a spectacular event at one of New York’s biggest landmarks, The Empire State Building. Here we join cast and characters as they flip the ceremonial switch to light the building yellow!
The Simpons Movie Director David Silverman and voice talent Pamela Hayden (Milhouse) and Yeardley Smith (Lisa) join The Simpsons characters in flipping the ceremonial switch.

We arrived early at a luncheon reception on the 71st floor of The Empire State Building. You couldn’t help but admire the beautiful cake commemorating The Simpons Movie complete with a Homer Ape climbing to the top of the tower.
We think you’ll find this quite enjoyable. Click on the PLAY buttons to enjoy two short video clips featuring Yeardley Smith (Lisa) and Pamela Hayden (Millhouse). Since we were onlookers to the interviews being given we did not have direct microphone access so be sure to listen carefully to the voices of your favorite Simpsons characters.
Perhaps the grandest moment for the folks at Twentieth Century Fox and the residents of New York City came at nightfall when they watched their beloved landmark light up in glorious yellow. This was truly an amazing accomplishment and an event I won’t soon forget!
